The Firm has a solid reputation for successfully representing clients in real estate, land use and zoning, tax, trusts and estates, tax certiorari, corporate and commercial law, construction law and litigation matters. Formed in 1976, the Firm’s areas of expertise have expanded to include banking, bankruptcy, employment and labor, environmental, entertainment, sports law and more.
Jeffrey D. Forchelli is the founder and managing partner of the Firm. His extensive practice concentrates on complex real estate and land use matters. He has served on the boards of many organizations, both charitable and governmental, and is currently a Trustee of Brooklyn Law School and a Trustee and Treasurer of the Board of Wagner College.
Daniel P. Deegan heads up the firm’s Industrial Development Agency (IDA), Municipal Incentives and Government Relations practices, with particular emphasis on facilitating and implementing responsible real estate development projects. He specializes in Real Estate Development Law, Zoning Law, Municipal Incentives/IDA Law, and Government Relations/Municipal Law.
Kathleen Deegan Dickson concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate development matters, and, in particular, land use and zoning law. Kathleen has an extensive track record of success with and before municipal boards and agencies on significant projects throughout Long Island.
Peter R. Mineo concentrates his practice in zoning, land use, municipal law and litigation. Mr. Mineo represents a wide variety of private clients, including many national corporate chains and municipalities.
Joseph P. Asselta is Co-Head of the Firm’s Construction Law Department. Mr. Asselta represents clients in all segments of the construction industry including owners, developers, financial institutions, design professionals, general contractors, construction managers, government contractors, trade contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, equipment rental companies, insurers and sureties (on both public and private projects).
John V. Terrana, partner-in-charge of the Firm’s tax certiorari Department, has successfully obtained millions of dollars in real estate tax refunds and savings for clients, including national, regional and local owners and tenants of all types of commercial and residential property
Judy L. Simoncic concentrates her practice in the areas of zoning, land use, environmental, municipal, and real estate law. She represents national franchises, Fortune 500 companies, national corporations, large real estate development companies as well as individual real estate developers in the development of both residential and commercial properties throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
Mary E. Mongioi has significant experience handling the foreclosure of mortgages and other liens held by major financial institutions, mid-sized and small investors, and commercial enterprises, on both residential and commercial real property.
Gerard R. Luckman is a partner in the Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring Department. He represents virtually every type of client in a financial workout or chapter 11 bankruptcy case, including many landlords.
