Firm Partners Present at the Long Island Commercial Real Estate Expo
Uniondale, March 16, 2016 – The Long Island Commercial Real Estate Expo is an annual event dedicated to improving economic activity on Long Island through the commercial real estate industry. Dan Deegan, head of the Firm's Industrial Development Agency (IDA), Municipal Incentives and Government Relations practices, was a panelist of the kickoff breakfast seminar titled, “Tax Incentives & Grants: What to know; How to apply & what to expect.” Partner Aaron Gershonowitz was a panelist on the seminar titled, “Environmental Contamination and Your Deal?”
Daniel P. Deegan specializes in Real Estate Development Law, Zoning Law, Municipal Incentives/IDA Law, and Government Relations/Municipal Law. He is experienced in representing companies before the IDAs in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Dan has a reputation for "getting things done" with efficiency, effectiveness and integrity. Mr. Deegan has been awarded an "AV" legal ability and ethics rating by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He was selected by his peers for inclusion in New York's Super Lawyers every year since 2010 He was also peer selected in LI Pulse Magazine as a “Top Legal Eagle” for being the “most unbeatable” in Real Estate. Mr. Deegan was elected to the Board of the Long Island Association in 2015. He aslo serves on the Board of the New York League of Conservation Voters (NYLCV) and is Vice Chairman of the Long Island Chapter.
Aaron Gershonowitz concentrates his practice in environmental law. He has been in private practice in Manhattan and Long Island law firms, where he has represented clients in a wide variety of environmental issues, including Superfund matters, RCRA compliance, underground storage tank issues, asbestos in buildings, and the environmental aspects of real estate and corporate transactions. Additionally, Mr. Gershonowitz’s practice includes the representation of military contractors with regard to closure of facilities, transfer of facilities, and the related negotiations with the United States Government and other local governmental agencies.
