Former Judge Michael A. Ciaffa Joins Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo & Terrana LLP
May 11, 2015 — Jeffrey D. Forchelli, Managing Partner of Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo & Terrana LLP (the Firm), announced that former Judge Michael A. Ciaffa has joined the Firm as Of Counsel in the Litigation Department.
As it has done for the past nearly 40 years, the firm is “growing, adding good people and servicing our clients with the best legal advice available,” said Managing Partner and Founder Jeffrey D. Forchelli. “Former Judge Michael Ciaffa will enhance our Firm’s litigation department.”
Michael A. Ciaffa will handle a wide variety of complex litigation matters, from their inception through appeal. Judge Ciaffa served as a Nassau County District Court Judge from 2009-2014. During his tenure, he had many “Decisions of Interest” published in the New York Law Journal.
Judge Ciaffa is a member of the New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, and before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
