Partner Adam J. Gottlieb Presents on “Estate Planning Concepts with Gifting Strategies”
Uniondale, March 8, 2014 – Partner Adam J. Gottlieb presented, “Planning Concepts with Gifting Strategies,” to the St. John’s School of Law Continuing Legal Education – Spring 2014 Weekend Program.
Mr. Gottlieb’s practice is concentrated in wills, trusts, estate planning, sophisticated tax planning and generation-skipping transfer planning for high net-worth families, as well as elder law planning. Mr. Gottlieb also advises fiduciaries in administering estates and trusts, including the preparation of estate tax returns. Finally, he represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in estate and trust litigation in the Surrogate’s Court.
In addition to being an attorney admitted to practice in New York, he is also a Certified Public Accountant and was a Manager in the Trust and Estate Practice Group at Marcum LLP, where he devoted substantially all of his time to estate, gift and income tax planning and estate and trust administration for high net worth clients.
Mr. Gottlieb is a frequently-requested speaker and author. He has also been an adjunct Professor at Long Island University/C.W. Post Campus and former Co-Chairman of the Estate and Personal Financial Planning Committee for the Nassau Chapter of the New York State Society of CPAs. He is also a member of the Tax Section of the AICPA, the Estate Planning and Administration of Estates and Trusts Committees of the NYSSCPA, the Trusts & Estates Law, Elder Law and Tax Law Sections of the New York State Bar Association, the Surrogate’s Court Estates & Trusts and Taxation Committees of the Nassau County Bar Association, and the St. John’s University School of Law Alumni Association.
